Sat in the heart of Salford’s regeneration zone, this landmark building represented a new chapter for Chapel Street – one with modernisation on the (beer) menu. Once a Brown Brothers brewery, this 1878, multi-storey, bonded warehouse may have been located at the gateway to Manchester city centre, but that couldn’t stop it from falling into a state of disrepair.
That was until it was converted into The Ainscow Hotel; a boutique 4-star hotel, having added a whole new floor to the building, in addition to 75 bedrooms, a bar, and a restaurant-terrace combination. Here, we were responsible for bringing in partitions, ceilings, and plastering, adding our signature modern twist to its original features.
